Hi, I'm Megan.

I am a Petroleum Engineer by trade and travel fiend by nature. I dabble in photography, stitch work, and now story telling.

Since 2011 my life has been centered around my job in the oil and gas industry. I live, sleep, and work in small trailers with 3 other guys. My front yard always has a lovely view of an oil derrick and is filled with the noise of banging steel and large trucks. This is more than a job. It is a lifestyle. Living and working with new people every few weeks in a mostly male dominated industry has caused me to develop a unique outlook on life. One that allows me to meet extraordinary people and create amazing memories.

This blog was first started in 2013 with my year long relocation to Venezuela. I learned many things there and grew as a person. My appetite for travel grew during my time abroad and I don't plan on giving it up any time soon. If you fancy to know more about being an expat in Venezuela, what it is like to work in the oil industry, or know a little more about select vacation destinations you are in the right place.

When I am not hunkered down at work, I will be traveling near and far to experience the most magnificent adventures this world has to offer and bring some of that world to you.

The places I have seen:
Venezuela
USA
Belize
Malta
Spain
Aruba
Trinidad and Tobago

Future Locations:
Cancun
